Sex and the city signature drink


ingredients

  1. 45ml Vodka
  2. 15ml Triple Sec or Curacao
  3. 15ml Fresh Lime Juice
  4. 25ml Cranberry Juice
  5. Garnish: Flamed orange zest

Pour all ingredients into a shaker, fill with ice, shake and double strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Hold the orange zest over the glass and press it between your index finger and your thumb, aiming into the flame of a lighter held over the surface of the drink. Then rub the orange zest around the rim and drop into the glass; and Robert is your Mother's brother!

I apologise to anyone I have taught over the years if this recipe varies in anyway from the one I used during the training. It is because it is such a difficult drink, despite the simple ingredients, to get the best balance from; and the slight change in recipe is due to my constant tinkering with ratio's; and it reflects my current taste. Please feel free to adjust ingredients by 5ml here or there and see what floats your boat.
